Mockingjay became two films
On 1 November 2012 Lionsgate said the last novel would be two films, released on 21 November 2014 and 20 November 2015. Peter Craig and Danny Strong wrote both. Philip Seymour Hoffman, who played Plutarch Heavensbee, died on 2 February 2014. He had finished Part 1 and had about a week of Part 2 left. The release date did not move.
